This expanded second edition delves into the classic topics of microeconomics and incorporates the critical theme of social welfare. Aimed at undergraduate students, Microeconomics gathers the experience of many years of the authors teaching courses in the area at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
La microeconomía es una ciencia social que estudia el comportamiento humano en relación al consumo, la producción y el intercambio de bienes, servicios y activos. Este libro aborda de manera progresiva los temas clásicos de la disciplina, como son, la oferta, la demanda y el equilibrio competitivo, pasando luego a temas modernos, como incertidumbre, teoría de juegos y problemas de información con sus aplicaciones oligopolio, teorías de agencias, negociación, selección adversa y señalización las que aportan al texto un significativo valor agregado respecto a otros similares. Dirigido a los alumnos de pre grado, esta obra recoge la experiencia de más de diez años de los autores dictando cursos del área en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
